下口食

one of the [lang id =1028]四邪命食 four heterodox means of living, i.e. for a monk to earn his livelihood by bending down to cultivate the land, collect herbs, etc.; opposite of [lang id =1028]仰口食, i.e. making a heterodox living by looking up, as in astrology, fortune-telling, etc. [lang id =1028]智度論 3.
